Chief Executive Officer
Peter started out in media 20 years ago with EMAP Publishing before hopping over the fence into exhibitions by joining Blenheim Exhibitions, nowadays known as UBM Live. Since then, he has cut his teeth at Tarsus Group Plc and also completed a brief stint that we don’t usually mention as a currency broker.
For the past 10 years Peter has headed up his exhibition organising business with the support of a passionate & committed team. He has launched, built and sold award winning exhibitions, the latest being Counter Terror Expo acquired by Clarion Events.
Passionate about people, relationships and the thrill of building successful businesses, the exhibition arena is perfect. A strong believer in keeping things simple, learnt from mentor and industry legend Phil Soar, Peter’s approach is straight forward, whether a major customer or a junior member of the team, he believes that people buy into people first and trust is key.
Peter has recently taken on the biggest challenge of all. In May 2013 his adored wife of 10 years gave birth to their first born, a baby girl. Earlier profiles may have suggested you’ll find him in the company gym every morning before work. These days, try Starbucks!
With a wealth of experience
that comes from more than 17 years in the publishing, exhibitions, and
conference sectors, Nicola has delivered successful business-to-business
events across a broad range of market places with leading media companies such
as EMAP, Tarsus, and IBE.
With the ability to be tactical and strategic as well as a hands on doer kind of woman, Nicola has successfully researched and launched events, worked across portfolios of events and associated products and held full responsibility for large P&L.
Chief Financial Officer
A mountain of a man with a passion for people and a seemingly insatiable appetite for starting and growing new exhibitions. Izak’s passion for business started early when he learned valuable secrets in setting up a fertilizing company, supplying local town folk with top notch cattle fertilizer. From that point on, he knew quite a lot about fertilizer...
Born and bred in South Africa, he enjoys the finer things in life, whether it’s fishing in crocodile invested waters, watching his favourite rugby team the Stormers taking on competition down under or enjoying a day out watching international cricket at Lords. Izak brings the same level of commitment and energy to all that he does.
After university, he completed a training contract at a SAICA audit and accountancy practice overseeing an array of SME’s. Upon moving to London, he gained valuable experience as Financial Controller at a Global IT consultancy company, fine tuning his technical skills. He later took the plunge into exhibitions, joining the formidable engine room of the highly successful Counter Terror Expo under Nineteen’s former incarnation, Niche Events.
As part of the Nineteen management team, he is involved in the strategic planning and commercial decision making. Always breaking through the numbers to find the real business drivers and getting to the heart of what makes an exhibition ticks.
Head of Operations
I have a wealth of exhibition experience having been in the industry all my working life - almost 30 years - across a hugely diverse range of industry sectors from Furniture and Security to Healthcare, Food and Air Traffic Control to name a few. I have organised shows in all of the major UK venues, plus a number of leading venues in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. I joined Cahners Exhibitions in 1984 which later became Reed Exhibitions and then moved on to Blenheim Exhibitions (now UBM) for the next 23 years.
I’m passionate about sport in particular Liverpool FC and Harlequins RFU and also have a huge desire to see the world, so I travel as often as I can. I also enjoy charity work and 2 years ago helped build a school in Kenya - a project I’m still involved with.
