STITCHED TOGETHER: SURGICAL (AND NON-SURGICAL) SPIRIT

Thousands Attend Europe’s Largest Reconstructive, Cosmetic and Non-Surgical Even

London – 17 October, 2014 – With over three thousand attendees, the second annual Clinical Cosmetic & Reconstructive (CCR) Expo www.ccr-expo.com at London’s Olympia has once again been an unparalleled success for the sector. Heralding a new age of collaboration among the surgical and non-surgical arenas, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (www.baaps.org.uk) also announces its Annual Scientific Meeting will be taking place at this groundbreaking event from 2015.

Bringing together 3,217 aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons, cosmetic doctors, nurses and other professionals, the event has already enjoyed rebooking of over 105% of the 1,1767msq worth of exhibitor space for next year’s event, scheduled for 8 & 9 October 2015 again at London Olympia Grand Hall. The event, which saw over 155 exhibitors showcasing their wares was covered in high-profile mainstream media including the Mail on Sunday, the Daily Telegraph, and BBC Health as well as specialised trade press such as Aesthetic Medicine and Independent Practitioner Today. Journalists from the Sun, The Mirror, BBC’s Radio 4 and other national outlets also attended the event, interviewing presenters and exhibitors alike.

CCR Expo hosted two highly specialised conferences taking place simultaneously, and lectures on a varied range of cutting-edge subjects; from facial rejuvenation, the ‘natural’ breast and exciting new reconstructive techniques, to discussions on cultural and societal beauty ideals, ethics in female genital surgery, and the latest in non-surgical technology. Live demos of the newest advances ran concurrently to the conferences, alongside animated and controversial debates in which leading experts addressed the sector’s hottest topics, and for the first time ever, trainee surgeons traded suture and injection tips while learning from international experts in the groundbreaking Surgical Training Dome in association with PLASTA

The event not only saw the sector’s different disciplines coming together in-person, but also online, as the run-up to the event saw delegates and exhibitors from all over the world interacting in thousands of social media posts, including hundreds of Tweets and Facebook posts buzzing throughout the two days of the exhibition alone.

Peter Jones, Chief Executive Officer for CCR Expo, says:

“We are once again thrilled with the reception given to this year's CCR Expo programme – the feedback has been even better than the first year and we are continuing to work to make next year an even greater success. One of our most exciting developments is that the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons - the leading professional society in UK aesthetic surgery - will be holding their annual scientific meetings at CCR Expo – an amazing vote of confidence which will be fully justified as we roll out our 2015 strategies.”

Consultant plastic surgeon and former President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), Rajiv Grover says;

“It is a pleasure to announce that the BAAPS will in future be holding their annual scientific meeting in association with the CCR Expo. This represents a great opportunity to expose BAAPS members to the teaching and training of non-surgical treatments, an area where they have always maintained a key interest. The ability to invite a wider range of surgical speakers also expands the portfolio of the BAAPS conference. Without doubt the joint CCR BAAPS meeting will be the premier aesthetic conference in the UK and we are pleased to be part of this unique event”
