NINETEEN EVENTS Appoints Foreign Engagement Officer

Wimbledon, London – January 10th 2014 – Leading event organising company, NINETEEN EVENTS, has today announced that it has appointed a Foreign Engagement Officer in a strategic bid to widen the company’s impact abroad.

NINETEEN EVENTS (http://www.nineteen-events.com/), organiser of the ground-breaking Clinical Cosmetic & Reconstructive Expo (www.ccr-expo.com), has responded to the industry’s need for improved international ties by appointing David Woodbridge, who has been a Director at NINETEEN EVENTS since 2012.

NINETEEN EVENTS was set up by Peter Jones in 2012, following the sale of his former event organising company, Niche Events, to Clarion Events in what was reported to be one of the most significant sell-offs recorded in the UK in recent years. NINETEEN EVENTS launched the record breaking, first-of-its-kind cosmetic Surgery trade show, CCR Expo, in October last year, bringing together experts across the clinical, cosmetic and reconstructive industries. Having also launched the much-acclaimed Transport Security Expo (http://www.transec.com/), a highly specialised and unique event which gathers together the world's leading experts from aviation, maritime, public transport and supply chain security, NINETEEN EVENTS is quickly becoming a market leader in its field. NINETEEN EVENTS’ CEO, Peter Jones, says:

If a cabinet reshuffle is good enough for David Cameron, it’s good enough for us! UK recovery will be driven by export, which is a trend that has been seen as many Organisers dash for developing countries. We are thrilled to announce David Woodbridge’s new appointment as Foreign Engagement Officer; he has a solid track record in this area and will be working with HMG and the Foreign Office to bring the world’s most affluent buyers into NINETEEN’s London based expos.”

David Woodbridge, whose previous role saw him overseeing numerous aspects of show delivery, has already been liaising with Her Majesty’s Government, the Foreign Office and overseas embassies during his travels for NINETEEN EVENTS, and his latest appointment will showcase his skills and experience in an official capacity. David says:

I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the new Foreign Engagement Officer for NINETEEN EVENTS. Having seen the opportunities to work with UKTI, FCO and other government bodies, I am very excited to be able to focus my energy on this incredibly important area and look forward to bringing heads of business from around the world to our events. Boosting the UK's export performance is essential for economic growth, making it one of the most important items of the government's agenda. This is a view which is shared by NINETEEN and many of our exhibitors. Therefore, I am looking forward to using this role, and my past 20 years’ experience in the events industry, to become NINETEEN's industry expert on 'doing business abroad'."
